Random bits of life

Happy Friday everyone!

Yes, it was a bittersweet ending to a fabulously famous sitcom last night. Others thought that it needed more closure, however I thought that it ended quite nicely. I mean, you can’t really get closure with a situation like theirs. Everyone moves on…c’est la vie.

In other news…if the world didn’t see America as a bully, trying to dominate the world, it probably does now. Pictures of abused war detainees? The thing that gets me, is that it’s a woman (!) that’s been pictured ridiculing and humiliating these people. I’m sure that are other incidences, but it’s her bad luck that her photos were made public. I guess that the golden rule doesn’t apply to war. I was actually surprised that Bush finally apologized for these “atrocities”. Then again, it is an election year. Anything is possible.

The french were close to capturing bin Laden a few months ago. I think that it would be cool if they were the actual captors. Poetic justice.

I am reminded of a quote by Chief Justice Earl Warren, “I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people’s accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man’s failures.” Kinda rings true, doesn’t it?

Okay, enough on that.

Happy Sunday to ALL the mothers out there!
