Random bits of life

Fully recovered from costume trauma is our little butterfly princess

And here she is sifting through her loot

She did so much at day care today (trick or treating, arts & crafts, playing, halloween party, etc.), miss Mads fell asleep on the couch watching Sagwa at 6.30p!

“Hi, I’m Kelly.”

“Hi Kelly.”

“I am a Facebook addict.”

Yes, this Facebook phenom, if it can be called that, is zapping all my procrastination time and all my kellybean time.

But that’s going to change, I’m going to try my darned-est to keep up my blog and my facebook page.

So, in other news. Mads made her first accidental call to 911. Yah, to our surprise, two police officers showed up at our house because they had received a 911 call from our house. Okay, no more playing with the phone. Don’t they start fining you or something? On the other hand, from the time she was playing with the phone to when the police showed up, it was like 20-30 minutes later. So if anything was wrong, well, forget about it.

Today is Halloween (I’ve been writing this since yesterday), after going through costume trauma, I think that we found something that Mads will wear. It’s a cute little butterfly costume, complete with wings, pink sparkly skirt and a headband with those feeler-thingees. Hopefully when she sees the other kids in their costumes, she won’t be pulling at her skirt, telling you “no” and running away.

Realizations of the week

It’s all about me

As I was putting away laundry the other day, it finally dawned on me that S has taken over more than 50% of our closet. That, of course, made me realize I need to go shopping. Well, really go shopping. I’ve been stuck in a clothes rut since…well, a long time. My problem is that I spend most of my money on everybody, everything but myself: clothes for Mads, stuff for the house, treats for Lucie, a shirt here and there for S. What about me?

I Heart Pumpkin

I am not only addicted to Facebook, but pumpkin too! This time of year, pumpkins abound. Pumpkin loaf. Pumpkin cookies. Pumpkin muffins. Pumpkin ravioli. Pumpkin spiced latte. Pumpkin pie. Mmm…there’s something about pumpkin, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon!

Happy Halloween y’all!
