Hard to believe that we’ve been in the house for 2 weeks now. Of course, we’re still settling. The new windows are (hopefully) being installed today and that means that Sylvain & I can finally go shopping for shades. (It was an ungodly 87 degrees in our house last night.)<\/p>\n
Living in this neighborhood has been a new experience for me. Everyone either knows everybody or knows of everybody. People say hello and good morning (even those that live 5 or 6 blocks up from us). It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Coming from the Sunset (where people mind their own business), Bernal Heights (where you’re worried if the guy on the corner is gonna steal your car), and Belmont (where your car determines who you are), Miraloma Park is like a breath of fresh air. To add, this neigborhood is extremely dog-friendly – every other house seems to have a pooch of some sort. <\/p>\n
Our immediate neighbors have been talking amongst themselves (so we hear) and are curious to see what we’ve done with the place. They all know that the house was in absolute s*** shape when it was on the market and are eager to see what we’ve done. So are we. ;o)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
